WHAT IS THE “AVERAGE JOE” COMPETITION?
Welcome to Phase 1 of the Average Joe Multi Sport League...the Average Joe Multi Sport Competition; a competition that pits amateur, average guys from different sports against one another in a series of athletic events resembling a decathlon.
An all age’s (16 – 55+) decathlon style, Multi-Sport event for men and women competing at various skill levels.
The competition is against objective, quantifiable, measureable factors; all events are to be measured objectively; against time distance or weight, etc.
The object or goal is to score the most points you can on each event. Scores will be tabulated and percentile ranks given to determine the overall winner for the competition.
Points are awarded for the position that the competitor places in each event. The competitor with the most points at the end of all events is declared the champion; Prizes will be awarded for each category.
The competition will span across Canada, for the quest for the ultimate “Average Joe” amateur athlete. Winners will be identified in each city, and they will represent their city when they compete against other winners from other cities in a Canadian showdown in late 2012.

The Ultimate Athlete Competition’s founder is average…in fact he is the #1 Average Joe…plays a number of sports well, but never professionally. We are looking for other “Average Joe’s” across Canada that would like to compete for a spot in the first Professional Amateur Sports League for the Average Joe… “If you deserve to be on the team…you’ll be on the team” representing your city against other Average Joe’s internationally!
